I just bought a laptop ( Toshiba satellite ) , but it does not have a sound card, instead it uses microsoft GS wavetable SW synth , and when using a sequencer ( Sonar ) I can not use VSC or another VST.
I intend to use the sequencer as a band playing some midi instruments for me ( I Play the flute). The quality of the sounds in this SW synth is not as good as I would like. May I use a Sound Canvas SC-33 with an external interface to connect the midi to USB in my laptop ?Will it perform as sound card in this way ?
I am looking for the conector ( midi to USB ) so I can not make the test myself.
Is it possible?
