I've been doing home recordings on a sb16pnp for a couple of years now.
I've developed a technique of creating music which requires realtime wave playing from one piece of software while wave recording thro the soundcard into another programme.
SB16 and it's latest full duplex drivers just will not do this.
I have been looking at TurtleBeach's MontegoII, which is in my pricerange, and supposedly has fully functional full duplex.
I run a cyrix686, 32mb and 8gig h/d.
Can anyone tell me if my computer will handle simultaneous wave play and record reasonably well?
And, does anyone know if the MontegoII card has any compatability issues with cyrix processors?
I don't know, these maybe be redundant questions, but I guess everyone goes through this at some stage.
If not the MontegoII, can anyone recommend a reliable and quiet full duplex card under $100?
