Well. The day I've long dreaded has come. The computer that is the heart of my system
is getting hinky and I believe is on its way to that BIG STUDIO IN THE SKY. In its former
life it was an edge server for Pipeline (a cable modem server) so it was a helluva rack
mounted machine. It has been the most rock solid, trouble free computer I've evr had. And now I have to start over. My interface is a MOTU 2408 mkII with the PCI 324 card and there in lies the rub. My old machine supported the 5 volt PCI standard and PCs are pretty much 3.5V. So I'll have to buy something to stay running. Either upgrade to a 424 PCIe card or a new interface alltogether to get my HD24 in and out of a computer (that's three banks of ADAT). Any thoughts?
