need sound card without the whistles

hello i'm looking for a good sounding sound card just for vocals and midi, i'm not interested in how many inputs it has i just need those two. does anyone know of any at a good price. i feel that the delta1010 maybe good but is the 579.00 sale price for all those features? does anyone know of any just as good or better but cheaper because it has less features? i just need it for vocals thanx.
 
Look at some of the other M-Audio offerings, like the Audiophile 2496 or Delta 44. If you need a mic preamp, then take a look at the Omni Studio, also from M-Audio. The 1010 is definitely overkill if all you plan on recording is vocals.
 
For Midi the Delta may not do, also it does not have mic inputs so you'll need some sort of preamp.
