Napster, quality of sound?

I've been downloading some Napster and notice the bit rate were different. Like from 28 to 320. Does this have an effect on sound quality after burning the song to a CD? Like I have 1 song that sounds cloudy and muffled and another thatll blow you freakin ear drums off!

How can I change this to make them all sound about equal?

You can lower the bit rate of the good ones to match the worst quality:)

I'm sorry to say that once the quality is lost, by using a low bit rate, you cannot restore it.

If you buy the record, it'll yield the best result:D

The quality is dependent on how the original was ripped, and encoded. Nothing you can do to make it sound better. You could either make them all cloudy and muffled sounding, or make the muffled sound ones as loud as the loudest ones? Can't expect too much fidelity for nothing.

K guys thanx I thought that was the prob. So I guess Ill just convert them all to 128. Just to get the Dbs the same.

hey amharper, why dont you just go buy the f'ing record? so you dont have to worry about that..
