Hi guys i urgently need some feedback. On tuesday i shall be heading for hamburg where i intend to buy a good recording peripheral for my laptop. once i need mulitple inputs and no latency recording I was going to opt for the motu828. However, thanks to this wonderful chat network called homerecording.com i have come across the rme hammerfall dsp that looks absolutely incredible. Imagine 130MB/s processing speed and lots more. The only drawback is that it does not have SLR inputs.
Which product should i buy motu or RME?
can i do without slr for recording vocals or is it absolutely essential for a good sound?
