Mac, Monitoring, Logic and Firestudio HELP...

Hello folks

I have a iMac and am running Logic Express 9. Recently, I have purchased a Presonus FireStudio (records 8 in at a time). I'm having a problem with monitoring: When i arm a track, and listen to it while recording, it sounds very Mechanical or Robotic. The recording will sometimes have that same sound to it. I have tried turning off and on the "software monitoring" tab under preferences. When it is off, I do not hear anything. The firestudio is basically acting as my soundcard. Any ideas how to stop this robotic double sound?

Turning off software monitoring is good.

However, you will need to adjust the 'mixer' control on your firepod to get the right combination of input volume (for stuff you are recording), and playback volume (for stuff you've already recorded). Make sure you are also listening to everything via the firepod.

I will have to try that. Are we talking about adjusting the software of the firestudio? or the actual unit itself?
