Mac Mini For Logic?

Hi there. My 2008, maxed out iMac has gone to the great beyond and I need to come up with a solid but not overly expensive solution. Does anyone use a mac mini with Logic? If so, how is it? Any problems with latency or speed? Worth doing? What modifications (if any) would make for the best use (i7, ssd, etc.)

Thanks,

Hi!
If you were getting on OK with a 2008 (core2duo?) iMac, then any i5/i7 mac will serve you very well! Even 2011/2012 models.

Latency is really going to be down to the interface and drivers more than anything else.
If you didn't have bad latency before, assuming you have an interface and used it with the iMac, you won't on the new machine.

In my opinion SSD upgrades are always worth while, even on sata II. I could not go back to spinning drives now.
The difference is ridiculous!

Other than upgrading the ram, that's pretty much the only modification you can do to a mini! :p
Aim for 8gb, although they will support 16, despite apple's guidelines.
