i broke down and bought one of these units yesterday (for mobility reasons)and got around today to hooking it up.
So i got the software up and running without a hitch.
I plugged a mic into the xlr's...works beautifully!
Plug my guitar into the 1/4 inch's...and i get this mad hum that wont go away.
So i turn all my levels way down....still there.
So i said..ok...let me hook up my mic and xlr chord (which worked beautifully when plugged into the xlr's)..to the 1/4 inch connector with a xlr to 1/4 inch adaptor.
BAM...same thing...i get a loud hum that wont go away the second i touch the microphone!
This happens on both 1/4 inch jacks.
And i dont have this problem with any of my other gear..so i dont think its a grounding issue either.
Is this a defective unit?
