Looking for free recording software that will work with MBox1

I have an old XP system and an MBox 1. I can use Studio one as long as I dont try to use too many functions at once. I was wondering if there is any other software with a free version that works with Mbox1 & Digidesign driver ? Thanks PC.
 
If you have a software that is ASIO compliant it will work with the MBox 1. I would recommend trying the Reaper. I have used it myself before and it is pretty good considering it is free.
 
Actually, REAPER is one of the best DAW's there is, regardless of whether it's "free" or not.

It's actually not free, but the trial version isn't crippled in any way.
