Logic Pro X - Updating Imported WAV Files

I have a question that I've scoured all resources for, but cannot get an answer to. I finally caved in and bought a MacBook Pro a few months ago, after more than a decade of recording and mixing using an 8-track and different versions of Acid Pro. Basically, Acid Pro has a great (and hopefully not unique) feature where, once you have a WAV file set in your timeline, if that WAV file changes and you go back to Acid, the contents of the timeline update as well. This is particularly for drums, where I would get a basic beat set up, save to a WAV, get it into Acid, then fine-tune the beat as I went along.

I can't find a way to do this in Logic Pro at all. It's been incredibly frustrating. Importing a WAV is easy enough, of course, but if I make changes to it, there seems to be no way to have the track update as needed. I have to believe I'm missing something.....I can't re-paint tracks every single time I make a change to a hitat.

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks!
