Laptop recording

I have a Delta 1010LT and I was wondering if there is something similar I could get that will work for a laptop. ie 10 ins

Yes .... well maybe.
I couldn't be certain as to if it would actually work for your system or not.
However, Magma makes CardBus PCI expansion units.
They ain't cheap though (unless you can luck out on eBay).
Needless to say .... I'm like H2H .... very happy with my 828mkII.

You don't want to be hooking up extra junk in the middle of your audio gear path. The more things in between the computer and the inputs, the more that can (and will) go wrong. Firewire is the way to go for laptop recording, no doubt.

My Laptop is a stock Toshiba Satellite P25-S520. I'm running Sonar3 Producer on it. Plugged and went. No bs setup issues at all. I was recording in less than 5 minutes.

Help Recording A Live Show

Could really use some help

SCENARIO: Recording a live performance with a Satellite M45-S355 and Sound Forge

PROBLEM: The laptop doesn't have a line in that I can use to connect to the mixer (tried using the mic in but that was probably the worst idea ever)

SOLUTION: ???

Thanks for any help you can give

Hard2Hear, what laptop/recording software do you use with your 828?
I'm running a stock HP Pentium4 2.8GHz notebook with 512mb ram behind my 828mkII and I'm perfectly happy with it as well. I've used Cubase, Sonar3 and Sonar4, SoundForge, Audacity, Adobe Audition, all with no problems.
