Interface suggestions (i know there is a thread about this somewhere sorry)

Look at the support of Alisis and Tascam, and you'll see they are the same,,, I help people with issues and find the support for these companies to be very limited, and impersonal...

Better to get something with dedicated support, than out sourced... Comes with Studio One Artist, but the units do not require their DAW (which is awesome !!!)

Also, Have a look at the Behringer UMC1820 while you're shopping. Lots of features for the $300 price tag. 8 preamps plus ADAT connectivity if you want to expand, Behringer's much improved Midas preamps are clean and quiet, and it'll do up to 24 bit/96 kHz sample rate if you're into that.

I've used it's little brother and I was pretty impressed with the bang/buck. And I just used those same Midas preamps (from an ADA8200) in a project and thought they sounded good for the money.

I'm a Windows guy though, so I can't vouch for its Mac compatibility.
