I need help choosing a laptop for my studio!

Hi there, I need to pick a laptop for my new home studio. I'm a singer/songwriter and plan to work on Cubase recording live acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, vocals with midi synth stuff and drum loops. Is the HP i5 enough? OR do I need go go with the Lenavo i7? The HP is only $500 after rebates (a clear advantage!) The Lenavo is $799.


HP:

2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2450M Dual-Core
6GB of DDR3 RAM
750GB Hard Drive (5400rpm)
Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000
SuperMulti DVD Burner
802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with WiDi

OR a Lenavo with these specs:

The HP is plenty fast enough. Don't know what other gear you have, but the money you save could be better used for other parts of your signal flow (mic, interface, etc.).
