I have a EMU 0404 USB on which I connect (through S/PDIF Coax INPUT) a synthesizer. They both operate at 44.1Khz.
There is no way I can get sound from my headphones or speakers connected to the outputs of the 0404. I tried everything from changing Sampling rate to using all "Direct monitor" options.
- Do I need a computer (and use DSP Patch software) to route S/PDIF input on the 0404 to the correct output or should it be possible to use "Direct Monitor" like stated in the manual and is my EMU input or Synth output just broken?
Also I can't get any sound on my Audio track in Ableton (I've enabled all 4 inputs where only 2 were enabled before...).
* The devices are really connected. Sync source on the Emu shows "Ext" and also the Digital Input Status window in the Emu control panel shows a value.
