Hi-pass filter needed for PC input

Hi all,

We are doing an experiment at work that requires us to use a laptop with external mics, that will allow us to send the signal to either a software spectrum analyser or recording software such as Audacity. We are using two mics - one left, one right - and are treating them as 2 x mono so that we can compare the results from each mic. unfortunately, due to location issues, one of the mics is giving us a lot of low frequency rumble that is not part of the programme and is causing us problems. For this reason we would benefit from having a hi-pass filter at around 125Hz.

Is there a decent outboard soundcard available with switchable hi-pass filter? If not, is there any PC recording software that will allow us to apply a hi-pass filter to the input and then route the signal to another piece of software, such as a spectrum analyser or recording software?

Any help gratefully received.

You can try putting a mixing console that has hi-pass in line or down load Reaper as your DAW it's a free full function trail.

I'm pretty sure you can do a high pass filter with Audacity as well (Effect>Equalization). And just Google 'free spectrum analyzer vst'. There are a bunch.
