Help an Idiot?

Village Idiot

The Love Butler
I think I can fix the problem with my system if I can can just find a file on my computer called:

Config.sys

How do I access this? Where do I start?

If I can get to this file, I can change the stack settings, which supposedly will resolve my problem.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Ok, Meshuggah.

I went into C:\

When I typed in C:\Config.sys
It said bad command.
Sooo..If it is invisible, how the heck can I change my stack settings?

Thanks for the suggestion, Meshuggah!

Go to start, run

Type in msconfig

You will be able to see config.sys in there, and edit it.

I'd offer more detailed instructions but I'm on a Win2K machine at the moment.

Or,

go to Start, Run

type in 'command' no quotes

get to the root directory of c:

type in

cd..

and again,

cd..

how ever many times it gets to take you to

c:\ prompt

Type in:

edit config.sys

Take it from there.

------

If you can't edit it from the c: prompt for whatever reason.

from c:

type

cd windows [enter]
cd command [enter]
edit c:\config.sys[enter]

EMERIC!

Marry me!

Oh..Wait a minute...I'm not gay...

My way of saying thanks.
You ARE Canadian!

I'll hav anodder doughnut at Tim Horton's and dedicate it to you.

And thanks again, Meshuggah.
