Help buying a new CPU fan..

I am going to buy a new CPU fan because the one I have is way loud..

It is a Pentium III 700mhz.
It says it is a Coppermine?

I am not sure what the socket is.. I think maybe a slot 1? Socket A?

If you could recommend a quiet fan that would rule...

Also this computer is from like 1999 and I would like to upgrade the memory. What type do you think that is?

It says 32 bit ECC. It says it supports DIMM and SDRAM..

Any help would be appreciated!

If you're looking to silence your CPU cooling for recording purposes then you might want to look at watrer-cooling setups.

More expensive but depending on what kit you get it is damn near silent. It's alot quieter than a CPU fan could ever be.

It's not Socket A, that's AMD.

Memory is probbably PC133 SDRAM. Try to stick to name brands like Crucial, Kingston, Corsair to minimize incompatibility mishaps.

As far as memory, you should be able to go to www.crucial.com and download a small utility that will check your system, and tell you what RAM will work. And I think evergreen technologies has a utility, and maybe intel does, that will give you some specs on your cpu, that may help in the purchase of a fan.
