Hello everybody. I've been a musician for a long time but I'm new to recording (actually, I've been retired from music for the last 10 years and have only re-entered the fray because of some exciting new breakthroughs such as Line 6, etc.) I recently purchased the Tascam US-428 Cubasis application but find the manual confusing at best. It makes assumptions that doesn't take ignoramouses such as myself into consideration. All I want to do is record a Satriani/Vai like CD using the Line 6 POD direct for guitar and bass, a credible natural sounding drum machine, and some interesting synthesizer sounds for intros. No mikes, nothing fancy. It doesn't seem like it should be that hard of a project but I'm totally lost at this point. Any advice?
