hi folks. A newbee but up to the task builder here with a reasonable budget. Hey...it'll be what it'll be. I decided to base my build on sweetwater creation station XT. I could use some assistance dialing in specific parts for compatibility and best utility for audio recording.
Differences in my project include a tower instead of rack mount (probably Antec P183)I assume tower is more spacious, quiet and easier to assemble in.
and a SSD for system etc., and HD (1TB) for storage . I'm hoping 120-160 GB SSD will be adequate for the system drive.
Starting with the intel i7 950 3.06GHz CPU. SweetWater mates this with an intel X58 mobo. I need to select which one. CreationS XT sports a lot of handy looking ports (2 x usb 3.0, 2 x FW 2, 10 x usb 2.0, etc.). Guess I'll leave there for now and add as we go.
