Everysound has a delay on my computer?! WTF?

Hi all...

I have a really really really weird problem... I just opened my computer this morning and it seems like my computer is putting a delay on every sound I hear!!! My soundcard is a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum... I'm on Windows XP

Anyone can help me? I gotta solve that pretty soon cause I got a bunch of projects to mix!!!

Also, the delay I'm talking about is like if you'd put a delay effect on a sound... Like the sound will play but 3-4 times while decreasing in volume... You know?

Hi there,

I think your problem is that you're monitoring your sources twice.
ie, the sounds are coming through the soundcard into your speakers twice( one sound delayed by a few ms)
I think you must have one of the output channels feeding into an input channel that is turned up. try muting all your recording sources to test if this is the problem.

let me know how it goes as I'm using a similar card (SBlive with KXAudio drivers)
