I'm looking to start a home studio and i've heard a lot of good things about echo, I'm looking at Gina 24 specifically. But I went to their site and the requirements listed are:
• Genuine Intel Pentium II/III or AMD Athlon/Duron system running
Windows 98/Me/NT/2000
• Genuine Intel chipset of VIA KX-133, VIA KT-133, or AMD 760
chipset (Athlon/Duron)
• 64Mb RAM (more highly recommended)
• A fast, high-capacity IDE or SCSI hard disk drive
I found it strange that it lists those specific chipsets/processors. I contacted echo tech support and they said its possible that it'll work with other stuff, they just haven't tested it on anything else. I have a K6-3 400 with an Ali chipset, win 2k, 128 RAM, and a plenty large and fast hard drive. I'm just wondering if anyone has used this card on a K6 system, or if anybody has anything to say about its functionality and reliability. Any info would be appreciated, also any other pointers anybody has on starting up my studio, since i have just started researching.
