Easy Question...Hooking Up Channel Strip To Interface

Hi All,

I currently own a Focusrite PRO24DSP interface and an LA-610 Signature Edition. In order to setup my chain properly, should the channel strip be connected to the pre on the Focusrite or to the line input. I'm assuming it's the line input but just want to be sure.

You would generally connect to the line in on the Focusrite, otherwise you would be going through an additional, and probably unnecessary, gain stage.

You could possibly go through the Focusrite preamps if you needed to use all inputs at once, depending on the minimum gain in the Focusrite preamps.
