Hi everybody!
I have scrolled all threads about E-MU 1820 and have not found the answer.

Recently I bought E-MU 1820, install it on XP SP-2 with Sonar 4. And have two problems ( at the very beginning of using it :( )

1. If I connect audio source to the sound card using MIC (XLR) input on AudioDock box - it sounds OK, but if I use balanced TRS inputs on the back of the AudioDock box, it works like vocal remover - I can hear only background music and just a distant voice reverberation.

2. A can not get a signal on Sonar 4...

Need an advise...

Thanks in advance

1) productionforums.com/emu for a forum full of E-mu sound card users. I'm not sure why the "vocal cut" but that's typically done with flipping one of the stereo channels...which means it's either the cable, the conversion of balanced to unbalanced signal, or the box being miswired. Try another source, I'd say, somehing that outputs TRS...
2) Check your PatchMix settings. You need to insert sends to ASIO and WDM applications. Yes, you need to learn PatchMix to use the sound card.
