Digital Spikes

version2

Well, I am being attacked. Recently, my wife and I have bought a new house. I have finally got my studio setup (albeit in a halfass way) and have moved in to work on a new project.

Problem! I am now getting some digital noise (spikes) which on the wave look like one sample straight up and down. I can remove almost all of them with cool edit but this was not happening before and it really sounds horrible.

I am using a Lexicon Core 2 and the machine has been completely wiped and reinstalled clean. I really dont understand where the problem is, but I have to figure it out.

If anyone could lend a hand I would appreciate it.

Talked with the guys at Lexicon.

It was suggested that moving the card to a different PCI slot might solve the problem. When I moved the system over to the new house I actually did some cleaning, etc inside and moved the card to a new PCI slot. It was also suggested that I clean the leads on the card with a 'pen eraser'.

Anyone else have any suggestions. I am going to give this a shot when I get back to the house.
