digital multitrack recorder

Hi, ive been searching for a while now for a digital multitrack recorder, im looking for something less then 300$ that can record at least 6 tracks simultaneously, and can hook up to a computer via usb to download the recorded tracks. Any input would be appreciated! thanks!
 
Korg D888, hunt around for one ,I'm seeing them in the 250 to 600 USD range .
It will do 8 @ once ,store on a hard drive then you can download the stored music via USB.
 
I second Misit's suggestion of the Zoom R16. It is a standalone recorder that can record 8 tracks simulateously, can record 16 tracks in total, can easily connect to a PC/Mac as a external USB drive and can even act as a control surface and 2in\2out interface. It is a little more than your budget, but is totally worth it.
