Just wondering what the best way to hook up my Delta 66 PCI which comes with a 4in/4out external box to my Mackie 1402 VLZ mixer. There is a setup in the manual with a 4 track recorder with 4inputs and 4 outputs using channel inserts. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got a 1604VLZ and a Delta44, so thats pretty close. I run channels 1-2-3-4 direct outs into the 4 inputs on the breakout box. Then I run the 4 outputs to channel inputs 11-12-13-14 back on my mixer. Then I run the mixer outs to my monitors. This way I can get the sound coming from tracks and hear what I am recording in real time. (Using Win2000, there is a delay in playback sound and recording input sound).
