which DAW???

DAW is the actual machine (Digital Audio Workstation). What software you use is soley up to your requirements and preferences (and price range). I like N-Track from fasoft. It's cheap and I think it's easy to use and it has all I need.

Maybe you can get some trial versions or demos from the manufacturers sites. Make sure you try a few before buying. Music software is dead expensive.

Good luck

thanks ,I actually did mean software!
I learnt another thing from home recording.
I'm running cool edit and a SE of logic.
I like logic it looks good is easy to use but since
mine is a special edition it has a couple limitations.
cool edit is ok but it doesn't look very nice and I don't
like the way it is set up for plugins. I really think they could improve it alot!! hmmm N-Track I havn't seen that one i'll hunt around for a demo..
