Just as I thought. It really does not add any new features at all! Where are the multiple undos? Non destructive short fades? Automation editing?
Well, they are all in Nuendo which is about a £1000 to buy. I would not have really cared if the new version was not backwards compatible, as I could easily use an earlier version to work on older songs. I guess I'll have to get it, but what a rip off!
There are now programs for £50 which have these features that cubase is sorely lacking, they really are just using their strong market position to cheat basic users while putting all their research into the more lucrative high end market.
I will feel justified in using a cracked nuendo, though I'll send steinberg a £100 cheque for the 'upgrade' :>
