buzz in recording

Hi, my name is Eric. I'm working on a home studio, I've got a new Compaq pc, with a Sony mic. I'm able to record 16 audio tracks and mix them fine, but I always have this little buzz in all the recorded tracks that I cant seem to get rid of. Does anyone know what is causing it, or if there is a setting I can change to fix it ? It's not that bad until you start overlaping a couple tracks.

What are you using for a preamp? If your not using one, the buzz is probably from the cabling method to the soundcard, and perhaps it's preamps. What kind of soundcard?
