8GB of RAM is okay, but 16GB is better.

Maybe but I upped this i3 HP lappy from 4G to 8G and it never gets close, gets hotter mind! What gets used post 8G?

HAHAHAHHA that was awesome. Thank you I ended up getting him the desktop with required specs to run a program of his choice I saved a bunch of links from my research and sent to him to pick up where I left off. You guys are awesome!! Thanks so much

That was excellent feedback. Thanks so much! I ended up with a Dell 8gb RAM and 1 TB hard drive quad core I left the DAW program up to him to choose. I let him know about removing those extra junk programs that come installed. Merry Christmas!!
