On board video chip - use or not?

Going for a mild boost on my music machine. Probably stick with the socket A AMD stuff. Sempron 2800 or 3000.

I'm looking at a few combos at Tiger Direct. What's the current opinion about using on-boaed video in terms of robbing power from the CPU/memory? I've got a cheapie AGP X2 card in it now.

Also...any thoughts on chipsets these days? Nvidia vs Via?

Nforce2 chipset is awesome. I'd stay away from the Sempron, that's the watered-down stuff. Get an Athlon XP. I really think the video robbing power is neglectible, but any old video card will fix that "problem." Make sure the FSB for the mobo, CPU, and RAM is 333mhz.
