I have been sent the files from an album project on a memory stick by a studio I have been working at.
The files relating to the individual instrument tracks are in the form of 'bak' file extensions (with the WAVs in another folder). I understand these are some kind of 'back up' files.
What are these and how/can they be easily opened up and worked on in studio software?
