My Asus home build would not boot about 3 weeks ago. Display asked for "suitable boot media". Inserting a Repair disc just gave the same message. A full and kosher W7/64 DVD got me part way but still could not repair the PC.
Long-short, the PC is now with a shop and the guy tells me he has ANOTHER Asus MOBO'ed unit in for virtually the same problem!
Googling for Asus MOBO issues did indeed thrown up a KNOWN problem. The fix entails some possibly dangerous tinkering with the EUFI/BIOS setup so if anyone else is affected take it very carefully and slow.
