For Anyone Using A PC For Recording

Can't see that it offers much more than any other software spectrum analysers I've tried. The Bob Katz connection is somewhat confusing: "At the Paris AES, Feb. 2000, Bob Katz of Digital Domain used the Pinguin Audio Meter as the foundation of an exciting new leveling and monitoring standard." - Vagueness at it's best.

Maybe a German - English translation thing.

Interesting looking product though.

The homesite for the company is here:

Actually

I was more looking at this part.

"Bundling four metering functions in one interface, the Pinguin Audio Meter displays all of its functions in real-time with zero latency or loss of transients. The attack time is an ultra-fast, one sample accuracy with decay time selectable to three rates, and an 80Hz screen update guarantees a no flicker display."

80Hz, amazing how they got the software to do that.

Sounds like their describing software with hardware bias. But, based on their "webpage" it's not surprising.

If it were $20 I might consider buying it.

Again
