any technical drawings of pro soundcards?

Hi,

As we're always on a budget, i was thinking about letting a friend build a soundcard like the delta/ digi / etc... now is there a site somewhere where the technical data is written/drawn down? i'm having a translation difficulty here i think they're called blueprints ...

anyway does anyone know of such a site (or book or...)

I've seen some mixers that came with schematics, but with soundcards I think that is unlikely, too much propritary info for a company to want to do that.

Good luck! Most audio cards nowadays use VLSI and DSP in their design. Manufacturers aren't just going to give that info away and unless you work on a college campus with a Microelectronics/Computer Engineering program, there is no way you would be able to do it on your own.

but not without the drawings... too bad
