For quite a long time I've "known" what usb interface to get when I have the money, an Akai EIE Pro. Four xlr channels is enough for basic drumset recording, according to google it's a pretty good interface, and it looks great
But now I found a used Line 6 Toneport UX8 for just a little bit more than a new Akai... I know that the Line 6 is made for guitar players, but would it do all I need as well? The eight xlr inputs would make it possible to record a small band live.
