Advice on my setup.

I’m rearranging my basement music area.
Right now I have a small room 9 X 10 that I’ve been using for mixing and amps.
The family room was for drums and where I recorded.
The setup was all into a mixer > audio interface > laptop.
Monitor out laptop > mixer > to headphones, PA and a regular stereo.

I’m ditching the laptop for a new system.

Here is my only concern.
I want to keep my monitor system in place and add my studio monitors.
I would prefer to bypass the mixer for the studio monitors but my Audio interface only one set up stereo outs.

How would you set this up with as little cash as possible?

Thank you!

I think it would be one stereo to the mixer and one stereo out to monitors.
I just want to make sure I have a clean signal going to the monitors.

Some mixers have a decent, clean output.

Some monitors have a pass-through output so you could go Computer --> Monitors --> Mixer --> whatever else.

Depending on your headphone needs, you could also consider a headphone amp that has pass-through (TRS) for the monitors. This eliminates the mixer altogether if you don't plan on using a regular stereo. Computer --> Headphone amp --> Monitors

I'm using an old Mackie 1642-VLZ Pro. I believe it's 1st generation. I don't see a direct stereo out that bypasses the color. That would be the best option. Thanks!
