Hey guys, just wondering if the computer I am about to put together will be a worthwhile. I have built pc's before but have been out of the loop in regards to all the new technology of the last 7 years so am I bit unsure of what goes with what now. The parts I have picked all seem to go together but I could do with some advice just for peace of mind so I am not ordered things which won't work together! It does'nt need to be the fastest machine in the world, just relatively quiet and powerful enough to cope with some home recording...usually around 30 tracks per song. Anyway, here is a list of the parts I am considering...

Motherboard - Asus M4A89GTD PRO, AMD 890GX, S AM3, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 2000(OC), SATA 6Gb/s, SATA RAID, ATX

CPU - AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition, Callisto, Dual Core, S AM3, 3.2GHz, 7MB Total Cache, 80W

Cooler - Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro v2 - S1366/S1156/S775/AM3/AM2+/AM2/939 Up to 130 Watts

PSU - 750W Corsair CMPSU-750TX, SLi, Single 12V Rail, Quiet & Cool 80%+ Eff

RAM - 6GB (3x2GB) Corsair XMS3 Classic, DDR3 PC3-10666 (1333) Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, 1.65V

Graphics card - 1GB Asus GT 240, 1580MHz GDDR3, GPU 550MHz, Shader 1340MHz

Hard Drives - for OS 250 GB Western Digital WD2500AAKS Caviar Blue, SATA 3Gb/s, 7200rpm, 16MB Cache, 9 ms

1TB Western Digital WD10EARS Caviar Green, SATA 3Gb/s, 5400+rpm, 64MB Cache, 8ms

Case - NZXT Whisper, Black Full Tower Silent Case, w/o PSU

All these parts are supposed to be quiet which is good as I have limited space to record in, but if anyone knows of any other parts which are better, let me know! Thanks!

Oh yeah, I will more than likely be using windows 7 with this computer!
