Type of inputs on MSR24-S??

I'm planning ahead for dumping tracks from my old machine (rca out) to my future MSR24S, and wanted to confirm that it is RCA in & out??? Am I correct in my thinking that NOT going through my board, and going directly from one machine to the other is the best way to go?? Thanks.

Yes, the 24 is rca.

Machine to machine should work unless the source machine is sending signal at way extreme levels, overloading the 24 track inputs...not a likely scenario, but that's the possible situation where you'd need to get a mixer etc between the two recorders.
