Teac 4010 GSL or Teac A-4010 GSL

Does anyone know what the difference between the Teac 4010 GSL and the Teac A-4010 GSL tape decks? I have the user manuals for both of these tape decks and I still can't find what the difference is between them.

I asked a similar question once regarding a Teac cassette deck from that era. I was told the "A" designation had something to do with units destined for export versus domestic markets. I think the "A" meant an export model but I could have it backwards. Other than the market destination I am not sure there is any difference.
