Tast tape for Mini-8

Hi there kiddies,

I have recently aquited a Brenell Mini-8 8 track 1" tape recorder. I got it dirt cheap but it needs a fair bit of TLC and a test tape. Trouble is I have no idea where to get one from.

Any ideas??

Aparently it must carry 1000Hz reference level whith an effective tape flux of 320Wb/meter (32 m Maxwell) and a 10,000Hz signal recorded at 10dB below the reference level.

I have no idea what this means but that's what the manual says. :o
 
Congrats on scoring the cool machine, and with a manual no less. :)

This is the only place you can get test tapes now. 1" will be rather expensive.

Check under multi-frequency tapes. I think those are the only ones that have a 10k tone at -10.

Holy shit!! Thats pricey!!!!!

I think i'm just gonna have to wait 'till sommink cheep comes along on ebay or the like.
