new plugin to sync tape machines

hey guys
been a big fan of all your advice over the past year, but just saw this
on Endlessanalog website, it's some new plugin to sync tape machines. There is not much detail on the site about what it does. Because i haven't hit 5 posts, i'm not allowed to put a direct hrl link. I have a tascam 38, and dump 8 tracks at once to daw, i'm not sure how this plug works yet.

Unfortunately CLASP won't work with your 38 since it can’t be slaved. CLASP also needs a 3-head machine. That eliminates the most popular semi-pro decks even though they can be slaved – Fostex R8, E16, G16, G24, Tascam TSR-8, MSR-16, MSR-24, etc.

It’s a good solution for certain environments, but with a $7000.00 price tag it would be out of reach for most small studios, even if they did have a machine that met all the requirements. Technically speaking you could make it work with an Otari MX5050/8, but not many would be willing to pay 10 times what they paid for their multitrack to get a sync device.

Seems to be aimed at commercial studios with high dollar machines.
