I've got one, and have not been able to test all it's functions yet, because A. I didn't have a mixer B. got one, but it was broken C. went back to not having a mixer D. Got another, functioning mixer, but realized the machine was pin 3 hot, which makes little sense to someone just starting out in recording, and C. needs a cable snake, and a new pinch roller, and a little repair.
So anyways, here's the questions:
1. Does it matter whether or not I use balanced or unbalanced cords to hook this up to my mixer?
2. Does this thing work with a 3600 reel? I ask because the 2500 reel I have is cramped on the machine already, with only like 1 centimeter of free space before it would hit the machine.
