Looking for reel to reel tech in Portland OR

Hey folks,

I have 3 tape machines that need work (Tascam 58, Otari MX5050 BII, and Ampex 440B) I'm having a hell of a time finding anybody willing to work on them though. The two techs here that I keep hearing about, Michael Everhart and Allen Garren, are too busy to take on new clients.

Jon, I just saw the CL post with the additional info. I may be able to help but none of your issues sound like straight-forward mechanical or electrical adjustments. I'm pretty sure I could, at the very least, do some checking and give you some direction; reduce the mystery of whats going on, and at most fix some stuff. Hard to know without having my hands on the machines.
