I'm ready to start the hookups for my project studio. I'm going to mostly use it to record to tape my acoustic band rehearsals. I have recently overhauled my pairs of Grommes G5m and Altec 1567a. I also have a variety of Altec line transformers. They re currently set up with 4722 transformers on all of the inputs and a 15095 on their outputs. The Grommes has TL-1a transformers in all sockets.
I'm trying to puzzle out how to hook one Altec mixer summing it into a channel of the Grommes. Maybe it should be the other way around. The summed signal would go into one channel of the recorder.
I'm worried about overloading the summed mixer. The question is which mixer should be the master mixer sending the total signal to the recorder? I do have a variety of Altec bridging transformers. How do I hook these up together?
