AMPEX 300-8 tape recorder 1-inch 8-track Tube preamp

That one has been on and off of craigslist and eBay for months. They're gonna have a hard time finding a buyer at that price in this economy BUT its the real deal...a fine example of an ultra rare system...the 1" AG-300 was the first production 1" 8-track I believe (if you could call it production).
 
The preamps alone could bring about that much these days. Someone in a colder clime should buy it, as it could be an excellent heat source, in addition to being an audio recorder. :)
