I recently had my 388 serviced and it has been working great. Just recently though it started playing back half volume in the left channel. When I press the mono button it sounds nice and full through both channels. Any ideas about this? Has anyone had a similar occurrence?
If you did a recording of Test Tone only, in the failed side and another Test Tone only in the "good" side, I wonder if the Mono is really working or just adding and covering up the failed channel.
How are you monitoring the stereo mix when the problem manifests? Headphones? Monitor out jacks? Unbalanced stereo out jacks, balanced stereo out jacks?
