Im not sure what you mean by "where can a totally free version be DL'd?
The link I gave is TOTALLY FREE. You just have to click the free option and wait a mere 45 seconds for the DL to begin. Then you must have a flac file converter to convert the flac files into wav files. If you type in flac in your search engine I believe its the 2nd option. And it is FREE. and will convert all the files I gave the link for within 1-2 minutes tops. I cant be any clearer than that or easier...Hopefully if Ive done the link right this will be a DL for flac

Maybe Hoffman can melt these tapes out of existence like he has for other totally un-replaceable master tapes...

Google search gives downloads, but all Ive seen so far offer only trial versions for free.
It took me a minute to realize what the deal was, you have to enter the letter combination in the text box near the top of the page. Where it says "Please enter (*something*) here: ____"

Then, you wait 45 seconds for the free download button to become active.

But, after all that you get the tracks.

I'm listening to these tracks and wondering how the "undo" feature and composite tracks has changed the music industry since then.

    Great! I'm downloading them now!!
If anyone got any other multitracks please post it! I know there are some led zeppelin songs going around the net. Hopefully some pink floyd too

Once I finish downloading I will record them on my tascam 414 mkII for mixing

An interesting fragment. These are the reduction mixes. Definitely not Dolby A encoded, that would make them sound far brighter, but actually they're severely lacking in top end. These sound at least 3 analog generations down, and also have mp3 artifacts.

Apparently there is a PT session floating around LA of ALL Beatles multis, a result of the Love album. Now that would be something- first generation 24 bit...

They may be a few generations down. But when you clean them up a bit and mix them all together with a little NR they sound great to my ears. Its only when you a-b them next to say sgt. Pepper on the Yellow Submarine Songtrack album that you can tell they arent as bright as they could be.
But Im not complaining, Ive wanted these for years and Ill take them the way they are. I never in a million years thought that id be able to mix my own version of Adayinthelife.
paulisdead...I hope your right and that there are more of these out there and that that "someone" will let them out and at top quality...Maybe for Christmas

Thanks. I'm in Beatle heaven. Now I'm going to be like a junkie looking for my next fix. A great early Xmas gift.

This is so not legal. I wonder if there's a version of 'Lucy in the sky with diamonds'? 'Mr. Kite' would also be interesting since we'd get to hear the mangled steam-organ tapes in their full glory...
