Yeah....I would just get a small analog mixer. You gain nothing from using a digital mixer in your SOP, other than maybe automaton and whatever on-board digital FX are included, but then you are no longer dealing with analog audio, as it will be converted to digital.

With a tape deck...just get a small analog mixer and be happy.

I remember someone did a stage show of Dr. Who in the early 1990s. They might actually have had Jon Pertwee in the lead role. The Dalek voices were taped, and I remember reading that on one occasion, he missed a line, which was a leading question, and the Dalek simply carried on and said "Precisely, Doctor!"

Even when humans are triggering everything, if the actor skips the line that is your cue to do something, it creates a little trainwreck for a bit until everyone gets back on the same page. Of course there is the possibility that the first mistake leads to the other people losing their place and the whole thing circles the drain rather quickly. Children's theater is good for that kind of chaos.

4 days later and OP still hasn't come back. I guess he doesn't want a mixer at all.

I don't think he was ever looking for a mixer...he just posts single sentence questions like that all over the forums...like some kind of trivia game.

Sometimes I think maybe he's just doing research for a school paper or something.

Basically, it's an adding machine. No joke.
